Peter Dewar is an award-winning Theatre Director in Great Yarmouth, England. As a Theatre Director, he is dedicated to creating thought-provoking performances that inspire and connect with audiences. His mission is to use his skills and vision to create plays that help underprivileged groups experience the magic of theatre. Peter's inclusive productions have touched the hearts of many.

About Peter Dewar

Peter is a freelance Theatre Director from Great Yarmouth, Norfolk who is dedicated to using Applied Drama and Arts Education to find ways to involve, instruct, and establish links with neighboring communities. He has a proven track record of planning and executing a variety of theatre arts projects in East Anglia and beyond.

One of Peter's recent projects was an Arts Council R&D initiative called "Matt" which was community-focused. The project involved collecting stories and accounts from residents in Great Yarmouth via word-of-mouth to create a brand-new show about mental health. Apart from being the Arts Consultant for Reflect Beats UK, Peter is also a director of Class Act Theatre CIC and a member of St George's Theatre.

Peter has worked on community theatre projects for various organisations, including St George's Theatre in Great Yarmouth, the Seagull Theatre in Lowestoft, Beccles Public Hall, Out There Arts, The Alzheimer’s Society, Provisional Figures, Sheringham Little Theatre, The Theatre Royal Norwich (Stage Two) Creative Matters Programme, The Wellbeing Service (NSFT), MensCraft in Great Yarmouth and Norwich, Top Banana Project in Great Yarmouth and have previously collabrated with and provided workshops for Access Community Trust (Wellbeing).

Currently, Peter serves as the Youth Theatre Leader/Director at St George's Theatre. He also conducts tailor-made theatre workshops for individuals, organisations, and theatres and also provides role playing and directional services for the staff at the Tide and Time Musuem that is located in Great Yarmouth.
